Data Spaces Discovery Day – Data sharing’s future with global insights, cutting-edge technology, and implementation strategies
IDSA’s popular series continues in Germany at the Data Spaces Symposium in the 5th edition.
Gain insights from Lars Nagel on the growth of European data spaces and their global impact, including IDSA’s key strategies on internationalization and standardization. Christoph Mertens will take you on a tour of the core pillars of IDSA’s assets and offers to show you the road to success with data spaces. We’ve also invited leading figures from the telecom industry to share how data spaces are revolutionizing benefits for end-users. The afternoon will focus on connectors, featuring tech talks and interactive sessions on the latest in data space connector technology and interoperability. The highlight will be the “Open space for data spaces” part, a free interactive track where all data space enthusiasts can bring their topics to the stage.
BDVA – Data Week 2024: Data Value Unlocked!
Organised by BDVA, Data Week 2024 will center its focus on the fundamental elements of Data Value creation. Artificial intelligence (AI) serves as a pivotal tool in unlocking data value through various means. Creating value from data also requires viewing it from an ecosystem perspective and fostering collaboration among multiple stakeholders, which lays the groundwork needed for research excellence, that is required to be rapidly put into action for competitiveness and societal benefit.
On 12 March 2024, as part of Data Week’s Day 1, BDVA members will host several sessions and workshops open to all DSS 2024 participants on the following topics: Generative AI/Foundation models, AI Act implementation, TEFs/EDIHs/i-Spaces/Data Spaces, Data monetisation, Data quality, Data Value – Application in Data Spaces, Engaging SMEs and Start-ups in Data Spaces, Data Spaces and Digital Twins (mobility, automotive, smart cities).

FIWARE Data Spaces Workshop
Do you want to see tangible technology and real application cases to implement Data Spaces? Would you like to know how to use a Data Space Connector in concrete and real examples?
Then, you are very welcome to our “Making real Data Spaces” workshop organized by FIWARE on the 12th March from 10 to 13 at the Data Spaces Symposium.
You will listen to the FIWARE vision and roadmap on Data Spaces and the available open source technology to deploy and get onboarded your organization in a Data Space. Our technical team will introduce you the FIWARE Data Space Connector which integrates all components and standards that you may require for connecting to a data space in an easy and complete manner. Three use cases from our community will showcase ow you can apply this connector in real scenarios. Especially, for technical audience, you will find also concrete implementations for the three main technical building blocks of a data space: data interoperability, data trust and data value creation.
